Treadmills
You will need to completely unpack the treadmill, assemble,
adjust it in place, level the unit, plug it in, and perform calibration
procedures. Calibration instructions will be included in the owner’s
manual. Most treadmill manufactures
require the treadmill be plugged into a dedicated 120v/15amp circuit. Commercial units normally require a Nema
5/20amp dedicated circuit. Some
treadmills may require adjustments to the Walking Belt as well as the Drive
Belt. Proper adjustment is essential and
if not performed properly may cause damage to the treadmill. Empty boxes should be broken down and left
for large/heavy trash pickup.
Home Gyms
Find a location you will enjoy using your new Home Gym. Locate the instructions and mentally position
the gym in your space so that all exercise can be performed without
interference. You will need to completely
unpack all pieces prior to starting.
FOLLOW the instructions step by step!
Many steps must be completed prior to continuing! Once you are finished, it is important to
double check all bolts for proper tightness.
Be sure to lubricate the guide rods for proper smoothness. All boxes should be broken down and left for
large/heavy trash pickup.
Exercise Bikes
Both Upright and Recumbent bikes can usually be self installed
with minimal difficulties. Most bikes
come with wheels, so once assembled you will be able to move these units with
ease. Some bikes are heavy so be
careful. Special tools may be required
on various bikes (check with your sales person for details).
Elliptical Cross Trainers
Elliptical cross trainers usually do not take long to install
although they tend to be awkward and heavy.
Most elliptical cross trainers require 2 individuals to carry, move, and
assemble. Once assembled they may be
difficult to relocate in the room. Boxes
are large and may require heavy trash pickup for them to leave the end of your
driveway. Some ellipticals come in
wooden crates that will require disassembly.
Weight Benches/Racks/Smith Machines
Weight benches and power racks are fairly easy and require
minimal knowledge of product assembly.
We do recommend following the instructions even though proper assembly
may appear obvious. Always measure the
length of your bolts before installation.
Many bolts may differ by only a ¼ inch, and using the wrong size bolt
can be dangerous.
Smith Machines require delicate assembly of the guide rods. Many first timers damage the linier bearings
during installation. Recheck your work
and test unit for smoothness and proper fit prior to loading weight on your
system.
Misc. Assembly Notes
Talk with your salesperson to make sure all your
installation bases are covered. Few
manufactures supply extra parts, never throw away any leftovers.
